Kidcore is an aesthetic that is centered around bright colors and nostalgia for kid centric themes; crayons, cartoons, and a lot of iconography from the 90s / Y2K periods.
I have always in some way fallen back on this aesthetic in my personal life, my room (before I moved into my tiny house) was a blend of kid core with bright colored furniture, loud posters, pictures layered on the walls, and so so so many stuffed animals. But never did I ever know there was a whole genre of artists who create prints, stickers, and pins 100% inspired by Kidcore.
Until I found Laine, an Kidcore artist, who runs the shop Wool Blossom.
I fell head over heals in love with the way she brought my favorite cartoons to life. And then I truly fell into a rabbit hole of finding artists who operate in this niche. Everything from Neopets, Webkinz, Max & Ruby, and the Teletubbies is fair game for these artists and my god do they do a good job. But then I realized that no one was creating anything in this niche that wasn't just paper based art or pins. And I was like WAIT ... I make candles of things I love and I LOVE this aesthetic so...
I technically have a whole slew of ideas for candles t
o create for this theme, but for the initial introduction of these candles I narrowed it down to just four and I am so excited to share my ideas with you.
✩ First we've got a candle I know everyone is going to love; Goofy Goobers
It's giving all things sweet and sticky. I really wanted to bring the sundae to life with the design of this candle so it's got ice cream scoops, cherries, bananas, and even hot fudge, but the best part is that it's all wax! 
✩ Bunny Cakes is the next candle that I just couldn't get off my mind. With a base color of bright pink and some absolutely fun primary colored sprinkles, this candle is going to bring Max & Ruby's cakes to life. The scent is going to be a yummy red velvet cake!
✩ Dragon Tales is going to be one of
my favorites because it's more than just a candle. This one will be in our amber jars simply because I like the way they look and while this scent is absolutely amazing ITS GOING TO COME WITH YOUR VERY OWN DRAGON SCALE!
✩ Lastly is one of my new favorites; Teletubbies. First and foremost, I love the Teletubbies and technically I was going to release four Teletubby inspired candles all at once, but let's just start with one! This candle is going to be a simple ode to these giant fuzzy baby-esque things. Did you know I actually have my own Teletubbies?
